Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Product Development, the Sales Engineer will support the Sales and Marketing Department in developing uniquely engineered solutions and products that excite our clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to our sales and marketing staff by the following:

• Creating Solid Works models supporting new products and modifications of existing products;
• Providing basic calculations for developing products at a proof-of-concept level;
• Creating storyboards and animations of Bardex systems to convey their functionality.

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing team, as well as Engineering teams to produce new ideas and optimize existing products for specific applications;

Assist in creating processes and sales tools to improve the team’s delivery of high-quality proposals, solutions and quotes, in a timely manner;

Contribute graphically to new magazine articles and advertisements;

Help build technical proposals, offers to sell and supporting documents.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline;

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering, technical graphical design, or similar role requiring the production of graphical materials;

Relevant graphic design experience within technical fields such as heavy load handling; deep-water mooring for fixed installations; shipbuilding/port infrastructure; offshore engineering; cranes; machinery for lifting purposes and/or heavy hydraulic machinery/equipment;

Proficiency in the MS Office suite of products, required;

Experience with 3D Solid Modeling and similar CAD software such as Solid Works, Bentley or AutoCAD required;

Experience with Power Bi, desirable;

Experience with Synchro Pro 4D, desirable – will train;

Experience with graphics/animations software such as Adobe Illustrator, Autodesk Maya, etc. desirable.

Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking, problem-solving/logic, mathematical calculation ability and follow-through capabilities;

Astute oral and written communication and inter-personal skills.

Compensation:

$90K - $130K DOE base salary, for this full-time exempt position.

Goleta, CA - hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the office.
