    Abacus IT, Inc. established in 2002, is a full service provider of IT solutions, focusing on small and medium-sized businesses and home users.  Abacus IT carries out PC and Mac repairs and set-up and maintenance services for desktops, laptops, servers and networks. We ensure that your business runs smoothly, by providing virus and malware infection removal tools, carry out hardware / software installations and upgrades, in addition to providing information back-up systems, data recovery, set-up hosted exchange servers and cloud services. 

    Job Summary:

    In coordination with the CEO, the General Manager will direct and coordinate the sales, operations and technical consulting activities within the firm, in an effort to drive business growth beyond our existing customer base.  In this role, the General Manager will spearhead sales and profitability, develop new business, help shape, develop and deliver a rolling 12-month business strategy, with a view to planning and driving top line revenue growth, bottom line profitability and exceeding customer satisfaction metrics.  

    Essential Functions: 

    Act as the spokesman for the company and liaison between business prospects, new and existing customers; 

    Must possess a proven track record as an executive-level leader with a background in the IT industry; 

    Maintain accountability in achieving and exceeding quarterly and annual revenue and profitability quotas;  

    Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all company programs and activities; 

    Act as the final point of escalation for employees and resolve issues amicably and quickly;

    Manage sales pipeline and ConnectWise platform;

    Manage customer relationship management software and data mine existing customer base to drive incremental revenue; 

    Develop support ticket policies and procedures to ensure tickets are received and logged properly, managed to resolution and distributed through the internal proper channels; 

    Develop and manage entire customer relationship lifecycle, from prospecting through proposals, sales, delivery and customer satisfaction;

    Manage technicians and sales teams; set up training courses and accountability systems; 

    Develop a sales incentive referral program for all Abacus IT employees;  

    Continuously improve departmental business processes through analysis and collaboration. 

    Qualification Requirements: 

    Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline relevant to the position; MBA preferred; 

    10 years of experience in the IT industry in a sales, marketing, or technical capacity, with 4 years in a relevant senior management position;

    Exceptional track record of successfully developing and implementing business plans and strategies;  

    Ability to manage and work collaboratively with staff in creating a results-driven, team-oriented environment; 

    Proven successful business development, pipeline building and closing capabilities involving sales quotas of at least $1M;

    Self-starter, with the ability to creatively assess often ambiguous situations and offer a results-driven solution to specific customers’ needs; 

    Exemplary oral and written communication skills; 

    Ability to disseminate a client work order and deliver clear instructions to the technical team carrying out the required work;

    Travel may be required infrequently to customers’ sites in the Western U.S.; majority of travel to customers’ sites within the Southern California region.
