Key Responsibilities:

- Provide a safe and supportive environment for youth, fostering positive relationships and encouraging their emotional and social development.
- Implement engaging activities that promote skill-building, including academic assistance, recreational activities, and life skills workshops.
- Collaborate with a team of counselors and staff to execute programs tailored to the diverse needs of young people.
- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behavior and encouraging healthy interpersonal relationships.
- Assist in the development of individualized plans for youth, tracking progress and providing feedback to guardians or caregivers.
- Respond to crises and conflicts effectively, using de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions, interventions, and progress.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to further enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with youth in a counseling, mentoring, or educational capacity is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to diverse populations.
- Compassionate, patient, and proactive attitude towards youth development and well-being.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- First Aid/CPR certification are provided.
