    Title: Youth Director

    Reports to: Regional Youth Director/ Regional Kids Club Director, Club Manager

    Expected Results: In Support of the Genesis Intentional Culture

    1. Purpose: The YD leads the Youth Department in accordance with the Genesis Purpose, treating staff asfamily and working diligently to help people take charge of their health!
    2. Mission: The YD ensures the Genesis Mission is executed to the fullest extent within the club, fulfillingthe commitment we make to members regarding the quality of their club experience and ourownership of their health and fitness results.
    3. Values: The YD behaves in accordance with the Genesis Values, setting the bar for the standards andprinciples of behavior that are essential to fulfilling the company’s Purpose and executing its Mission.
    4. Tools: The YD uses the Genesis Awareness, Communication, and Conflict Resolution Tools to facilitateeffective operations throughout the club.
    5. Brand Absolutes: The YD models and reinforces all five Genesis Brand Absolutes, supporting andbuilding a positive reputation of the Genesis Brand in the community.

    Expected Results: In Support of Department Performance & Member Experience

    Camp Department: Generating Leads, Sales, and Retention – Youth Director

    The YD is responsible for achieving budgeted revenue, camper participation, and payroll goals for thedepartment.

    The YD owns all aspects of external and internal marketing for Camp programming including, but notlimited to: community outreach and informational events, forming strategic B2B partnerships,requesting marketing content for promotion efforts in the club, managing email campaigns, tablingand in club promotion efforts.

    The YD will lead prospective family tours and maintain a Lead Tracker for interested camp families toensure proper follow-up communication occurs during sales season.

    The YD will be responsible for calling and emailing past families in support of camper retention andeffective communication.

    The YD will assist in developing and disseminating all materials to support parent understanding andtrust in the program [welcome packets, parent emails, camper paperwork, generating campsite reportsfor the counselors].

    The YD will coordinate the writing and sending of camper post cards each fall as a part of our MightyMoments retention program.

    Camp Department: Operations and Projects – Youth Director

    The YD is responsible for tracking data daily and sharing pertinent information with the seasonalcounselor team in the Communication Log and/or during Morning Meetings

    The YD is responsible for leading morning meetings for seasonal team members to ensure clarity andconsistency throughout each camp day experience.

    The YD is responsible for ensuring their camp site and programming meets state licensing standardsand/or best practices 100% of the time.

    The YD will create and manage camp opening and closing procedures.

    The YD owns Zone Management for the camp facilities, ensuring each areaof the club utilized by camp is clean, orderly, and in good repair 100% of thetime.

    The YD will work in conjunction with the Executive Camp Team and their Regional Youth Manager tomove the Team A+. This means that they track data, actively brainstorm ways to improve operations,camper experience, enrollment, programming, etc.

    The YD responsible for ensuring the safety and engagement of camp kids.

    The YD establishes proper office organization, detailed program planning, and maintains an up-to-dateprogram library of current and past programming material.

    The YD will be responsible for the planning and facilitation of intentional pre-season counselor trainingand for supporting the growth of each seasonal team member.

    The YD will be responsible for assisting the RYD with finalizing camp program purchases to supportwith accurate budgeting (Fun with Food, STEAM, Yoga, Balanced Kids, Learn to Play, Kids Move,Improv, Character First Programming, Challenge, Decorations).

    The YD will connect weekly with each counselor on their team for their individual Growth ThroughPositive Support meetings.

    The YD will walk all 6 Pathways daily to model the way for the seasonal camp team.

    The YD personally works school year program offerings and events.

    The YD assists Kids Club staff with Parent’s Night Out and KIDFIT when appropriate.

    The YD is responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing and scheduling throughout their operations100% of the time.

    The YD processes enrollment requests and responds to parent/guardian inquiries within 24 hoursduring the business week.

    The YD manages department inventory, auditing supplies, submitting requests, and purchasingalongside their Regional Youth Director.

    The YD is responsible for researching, booking, maintaining professional relationships with local fieldtrip opportunities for camp and transportation contracts.

    Camp Department: Team Development – Youth Director

    The YD oversees the hiring and onboarding of their seasonal and year-round team, actively leading therecruiting and hiring process for their department.

    The YD consistently invests in the development of the team through frequent trainings in youthdevelopment, leadership, and job-specific operational duties.

    The YD is 100% competent with Genesis 101 content and uses it to lead the team.

    The YD effectively uses the Performance Management System, documenting coaching sessions, finalwarnings, and employment terminations according to best practices.

    The YD ensures their team meets all state and local childcare worker regulations and maintains diligentfiles to avoid lapse in coverage.

    The YD invests in their own learning cycle by participating in and/or developing new trainingexperiences for their team and the department at large, to be used in pre-season training, leadershipsummits, and other department functions.

    The YD attends regular check-in meetings with the Executive Camp Team and facilitates on-site Teammeetings/Trainings as applicable.

    The YD strives to develop strong relationships with members and Teammembers, and commits to creating an On-Brand, enjoyable and invitingatmosphere for both members and Team within the youth departments.

    Kids Club Department – Youth Director

    The YD will engage with all children and Team Members in their designated area with a positive,proactive, and respectful attitude 100% of the time.

    The YD ensures competent execution of all specific duties, procedures, and responsibilities for the KidsClub Team.

    The YD provides team resources for fun and age-appropriate child activities.

    The YD is accountable for the overall member experience in the Kids Club and supports the Team withhandling member issues.

    The YD oversees the hiring and onboarding of the KC team, ensuring an appropriately staffed Kids Club100% of the tie,

    The YD provides training for all Kids Club staff related to daily operations, expectations,developmentally appropriate engagement with youth, and the promotion of all youth happenings/programs at the club.

    The YD is required to work mixed shifts weekly to include an opening, evening, and weekend shift tosupport the Team and operations within the department.

    The YD will organize the team to ensure all areas are appropriately staffed and use Purpose, Values,and tools to contact and/or relieve Team members to maintain appropriate ratios 100% of the time.

    The YD is responsible for maintaining and reviewing all daily Kids Club reports to closely monitor,tracking child check-in numbers and visit sales/usage.

    The YD will maintain organized and accurate record of child facility waivers, as well as updated photos,allergies, medical concerns, parent information, and special notes.

    The YD reviews time clock entries for all KC Team Members and assists Team Members when a TimeMaintenance Form is needed.•

    The YD ensures proper uniform standards in accordance with the Kids Club Department Manual andcoaches the Team in doing the same.

    The YD creates and manages the Kids Club Attendant schedule for their location and is responsible foropening /closing the Kids Club when a Team member misses, is sick, or there is a lack of coverage.

    The YD performs weekly supplies counts and reports purchase needs to the Regional Youth Director forapproval.

    The YD maintains awareness of the numeric usage and fiscal goals for the department and the fiscal impact to the company of each purchase decision.

    The YD attends mandatory meetings and Team Building Calls with the Regional Director and Club Manager; and is responsible for disseminating appropriate learning and information to the Kids Club Team Members.

    Position Qualifications and Requirements

    Physical and Mental Requirements – Youth Director

    There may be a need for standing, walking, sitting, lifting, kneeling, reaching, handling, thinking, reasoning, and calculating, some of it constant.

    This position has an inherent amount of physical and mental stress. All candidates must be prepared for and capable of adapting to such conditions.

    The work of a Camp professional is divided equally with indoor and outdoor activities

    A positive attitude and professional behavior are expected and displayed consistently in all dealings with members and/or fellow Team members. This person is expected to be a role model daily as an example of the intentional camp culture.

    Must be passionate about working with children, highly motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    A demonstrated ability of providing exceptional Customer Service.

    Qualifications– Youth Director

    This position is full-time with a variable schedule; the ability to work days, evenings, and weekends according to the needs of the club and camp is required

    Minimum one year of experience working with children

    Minimum one year management experience appropriate to the position

    Bachelor’s degree preferred or demonstrated equivalent experience

    Reliable transportation to and from work

    CPR and First Aid Certification

    Clear Background Check
