Position Overview
Carden Christian Academy is seeking a spiritually mature and relational Youth Pastor & Student Ministry to serve both Lower and Upper School students. This role provides biblical teaching, spiritual leadership, and pastoral guidance through age-appropriate sermons, Bible lessons, and discipleship.
The Youth Pastor will deliver separate monthly sermons and Bible instruction tailored to each division, fostering spiritual growth, biblical literacy, and Christ-centered character development within the school community.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver 2 sermons per month (one for Lower School, one for Upper School)
Provide 2 structured Bible lessons per month (separate and age-appropriate for each division)
Develop engaging, Scripture-based content aligned with the school’s Christian mission
Offer pastoral care and spiritual mentorship to students as needed
Collaborate with administration for chapel planning and spiritual initiatives
Maintain a lifestyle consistent with biblical leadership standards
Participate in accountability and leadership oversight structures
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Ministry, Biblical Studies, or related field (preferred)
Minimum 3 years of experience serving as a Youth Pastor
Minimum of 12 credit hours from an accredited Bible college or seminary (required if no degree in a related field)
Strong leadership reference required
Demonstrated commitment to accountability and spiritual integrity
Experience working with both elementary and secondary students preferred
Personal & Spiritual Requirements
Clear testimony of Christian faith
Agreement with the school’s statement of faith
Ability to communicate biblical truth in an age-appropriate, engaging manner
Strong moral character and servant leadership mindset
Compensation Salary: Negotiable (based on experience, credentials, and scope of engagement)
