Position Summary
The Life Skills Facilitator provides direct supervision, coaching, mentoring, transportation, and life skills training to youth residing in our residential program. Staff serve as positive role models while ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
· Supervise youth in a residential setting.
· Teach independent living and life skills.
· Maintain a safe and secure environment.
· Prepare and document daily progress notes.
· Transport youth to school, appointments, court, recreation, and community activities.
· Assist youth with educational and vocational goals.
· Implement behavior management strategies.
· Participate in crisis intervention when necessary.
· Work collaboratively with clinicians, case managers, probation officers, schools, and families.
· Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications
Preferred:
· High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
· Experience working with adolescents
· Human Services
· Social Work
· Psychology
· Criminal Justice
· Counseling
· Education
· Behavioral Health
· Military leadership experience
· Youth mentoring experience
Required:
· Valid Driver’s License
· Good driving record
· Ability to pass background investigation
· Ability to pass drug screening
· Ability to transport youth safely
· Excellent communication skills
