About the Role:
Join Overtime Athletics DMV as a Youth Volleyball Instructor and inspire the next generation of athletes! In this dynamic role, you'll engage young players in the fundamentals of volleyball while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship in a fun, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct engaging volleyball training sessions for youth athletes.
Teach fundamental skills, techniques, and strategies to enhance player performance.
Develop age-appropriate drills that promote skill development and teamwork.
Provide positive feedback and encouragement to motivate young players.
Monitor player progress and adapt sessions to meet individual needs.
Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding player development and program updates.
Assist in organizing and leading volleyball events and tournaments.
Requirements:
Previous experience coaching or instructing youth in volleyball or related sports.
Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and training methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.
Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
Positive attitude and a passion for youth sports development.
Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Must pass a background check prior to employment.
Scheduling: Looking to fill the instructor in evening Friday programs, as well as, other after school programs, weekend programs, and full day camps.
