Youth Worship Asst-Sebastian

Hours per week: 18 hours, Part-time

Job Summary:
This position assists the Worship Leader by leading, coordinating and planning various aspects of Youth Worship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead weekly youth worship services through prayer, devotion, and spiritual leadership (1 chronicles 16:25)
· Coordinate youth band rehearsals, including practice preparation, scheduling, and communication with the youth worship team
· Assist with mentoring and developing student musicians by providing piano and guitar instruction, individual coaching, and opportunities for worship leadership (Colossians 4:6)
· Organize, prepare, and print worship charts and other music resources for rehearsals and services (1 Corinthian 14:40)
· Plan worship sets by entering songs into the worship planning system and coordinating with the Melbourne Worship Assistant as needed (Proverbs 16:3)
· Participate in staff meetings and maintain regular communication with the youth ministry and worship teams to ensure effective collaboration
· Oversee setup and teardown for youth services, ensuring worship spaces and equipment are prepared, cleaned, and properly maintained
· Welcome, train, and integrate new student worship team members, helping them grow in their musical abilities and spiritual maturity (1 Corinthians 12:8)
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor (Colossians 3:23)
Job Skills and Competencies:
· Gifted musician and effective communicator who is able to mentor and teach others (1 Corinthians 14:12)
· Excellent communication skills (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
· Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
· Willing to take active steps in growing as a musician and worship leader
