    JOB TITLE: Buyer / Inventory Control Specialist

    IN BRIEF:

    Yumi is looking for a Buyer / Inventory Control Specialist to execute all manner of inventory management and control. This role is responsible for working with forecasts and real time manufacturing demands to ensure raw material and packaging availability to support a rapidly expanding DTC customer base. 

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •    Develop and Utilize existing planning tools to accurately forecast key items to support rapidly scaling manufacturing operation
    •        Analyze key item trends, adjusting forecasts and inventory levels as needed to support plans
    •        Manage inventory by location to minimize warehouse and transportation costs to determine purchase order quantities as needed
    •        Evaluate various transportation options and optimize to balance cost and lead times
    •        Coordinate all inbound and inter-company transportation activities
    •        Partner with management to assist in reducing supplier costs, lead times and transportation times to improve service and achieve inventory turns goals
    •        Develop and maintain positive and effective relations with vendors
    •        Drive collaborate planning process with vendors, ensuring plans are aligned and can be supported
    •        Monitor vendor performance and identify any issues to management
    •        Manage promotional calendar with Marketing team
    •        Work with Operations and Product Development teams on business objectives
    •        Issue purchase orders for raw materials and packaging
    •        Research high quality organic ingredients to build supplier depth
    •        Onboard new vendors by reviewing product specifications
    •        Coordinate new supplier paperwork with suppliers and new ingredients
    •        Make the necessary Netsuite ERP transactions to maintain clean up to date inventory data
    •        Build strong, collaborative working relationships with broad, cross-functional internal business partners
    •        Highly organized and ability to work on several projects simultaneously

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    •        Must have worked in the Food and Beverage category
    •        NetSuite or comparable ERP experience
    •        Bachelor's degree required (preferred emphasis in Supply Chain, Accounting, or Business)
    •        3-5 years of inventory analysis experience
    •        Solid accounting and finance foundation / cost accounting knowledge (inventory, CoGs, manufacturing variance, etc.)
    •        Flexible, detail oriented, with strong planning and organizational skills
    •        Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
    •        Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
    •        Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
    •        Advanced Excel proficiency required
