    Job Description

    LOOKING FOR AN ENERGETIC PROFESSIONAL COMING FROM A REGULATED ENVIRONMENT!

    • Generates detailed models/drawings and functional prototypes based on theoretical concepts.
    • Implements drafting standards to maintain consistency in notes, layout and dimensioning schemes.
    • Builds and tests prototype devices.
    • Selects materials for component parts and medical devices.
    • Provides technical input for projects at all stages of the product life cycle.
    • Translates User Needs into Design Input Requirements to comply with regulatory requirements and best-practice standards.
    • Participates in Design Verification activities to ensure Design Outputs satisfy Design Input Requirements.
    • Leads one or more product development projects for medical devices to achieve on-time results and according to plan.
    • Maintains Design Controls documentation in accordance with established regulatory requirements and SOPs.
    • Assesses new technologies and new product ideas for technical feasibility.
    • Assists in the design of test apparatuses/equipment and the development of procedures for testing products including setting acceptance criteria.
    • Provides engineering support for products launching to production and resolves issues as they arise.

    OUR EXPECTATIONS

    • Bachelors Degree
    • 5 to 10 years of experience designing from concept through production. 
    • Experience implementing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles into design.
    • Experience with industrial design and human factors engineering strongly preferred.
    • Strong mechanical, analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Creative with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects with sometimes conflicting priorities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clinicians, engineers and team members.
    • Ability to work independently and with others in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.

    Compensation:  $95,000 - $105,000 + 10% bonus, weeks of PTO and great benefits
