Job Description

Z-Communications, Inc., a leader in the engineering and manufacturing of wireless components since 1987, is looking for a competent engineering technician. The responsibilities of this position will largely be to provide support to engineering and staff by testing and tuning VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillators) and PLL (Phase Locked Loop) modules. There will be on the job training for the aforementioned responsibilities.

We are looking for hands on candidates who are eager and willing to learn. Technicians must have experience with test equipment like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc., and assemblers must be able to solder.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Test, tune, and characterize RF/Microwave (VCO & PLL) components Assist in creating test procedures and other product documentation Rework SMT assemblies and SMT OPERATORS Utilizing computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform engineering tasks

REQUIREMENTS and/or REQUIRED SKILLS for Technicians

A minimum of an associates degree in electronics or equivalent training and/or experience A minimum of 2 years experience working with RF/Microwave components Skilled at operating spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, signal generators, frequency counters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc. Experience with electronic components in RF/Microwave frequency range Experience using excel and windows based computer systems Experience reading schematics and assembly drawings Experience doing rework and knowledge of SMD package sizes

REQUIREMENTS and/or REQUIRED SKILLS for Assemblers

Experience in a manufacturing environment and soldering' '
