WEB DESIGNER
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:3+ year of experience as a Web Designer.
CANDIDATES MUST BE U.S. CITIZENS AND ABLE TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A GOVERNMENT CLEARANCE.
Z FEDERALis seeking afull-time front-end website developer to support our Federal customer in Washington, DC with our dynamic, highly-motivated and skilled team of web professionals, you will not only code HTML and CSS, but also use website, UX/UI graphic design techniques. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working with technical and non-technical members, customers, and management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
FRONT-END REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of relevant development experience
- Experience coding in HTML and CSS to developer websites from scratch.
- Experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
- Experience with testing and debugging for cross-browser compatibility
- Understanding conceptually of the backend of a web application
- Experience with designing screen layouts, interaction flows, mockups, and wireframes.
DESIGN REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with fundamental design principles and disciplines that affect typography, color use, animation, composition use of space.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop), and O365 Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Must possess creativity and excellent sense of design with knowledge of image formats and their appropriate use for print and websites.
- Experience developing interface mockups, annotated wireframes, and design specifications.
- Solid understanding of principles of information organization and user interface design.
- Strong knowledge of established UI standards as well as cutting-edge design conventions and interactions.
- Strong knowledge of Human/User-Centered design process.
- Ability to gauge the usability of new and existing products and make constructive recommendations.
- Ability to communication design concepts effectively, build consensus, and justify decisions.
