The compensation package includes a base salary plus generous bonus compensation for performance. Responsibilities: • Catalog and organize information for cases including assisting with managing metadata • Draft correspondence to clients as needed • Organize client meetings, mediations, and phone appointments for attorneys • Assist with managing attorney calendars • Filing pleadings and other Court documents in Maryland and the District of Columbia • Collaborate with attorneys to serve our clients whether this is preparing for mediation or preparing a trial • Work together with other lawyers and legal assistants in the firm to meet clients’ more complex needs • Work on cases within a team environment where collaborating with colleagues is the expectation, not the exception Qualifications: A Legal Assistant must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A Legal Assistant must be friendly, empathetic, and organized. A Legal Assistant must be proficient with Microsoft Office 360 and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Additionally, you must possess the following skills: • Ability to multitask • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing • People Skills/Customer Service—A Legal Assistant should have excellent people skills with the confidence to address initial client complaints and soothe angry clients • Excellent Organizational Skills • Time Management • Ability to work in a team with other Legal Assistants and Attorneys Compensation: $40,000 - $65,000 based on experience
