Z-TECH is seeking a polished, tech-savvy and customer service driven individual to join our IT engineering team ONSITE at our client in Boston/Seaport District. We provide desktop, network and security consulting services to a growing base of Boston-area businesses. The IT Support Tech is a highly skilled and customer focused individual working within our dynamic support organization. The individual offers strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills, hands-on implementation, and on-going support for a rapid paced client facing environment in the Boston/Cambridge area. Requires 2-4 years' prior experience in IT support, with a combination of strong technical, communication and customer facing skills, and experience with laboratory technology/systems in the biotech/pharma industries.
Major tasks include working on-site at client locations on special projects, computer, network and lab setups, new user on-boarding, computer imaging, software installation, application support and end-user support. The IT support engineer effectively diagnoses and resolves IT related issues as well as communicates with clients, team members and managers regarding problem resolution status.

IIS Configuration Internet access& basic LAN and WAN protocols and standards Mac/ Unix/Linux familiarity and administration skills Sonicwall/Cisco experience Other essential requirements include: -Must have reliable transportation and work onsite at client sites generally within Boston and Cambridge (mileage/parking reimbursed).

Must be patient and professional. -Ability to achieve resolution within projected time frame -Strong organizational, communications and customer service skills; professional demeanor; ability to multi-task and be punctual. -Ability to work independently after ramp-up period. -Desire to learn and become familiar with new technologies; assimilate knowledge quickly and effectively. -BS, Computer Science, Network Engineering or equivalent degree. Technical certifications a plus.
