Description: Zebra Projects, Inc. is offering a unique and exciting opportunity to qualified candidates who would like to join our Scottsdale, AZ office. We are looking for a staff accountant that will be responsible for daily & month end accounting related to Account Payable and Accounts Receivable. This position will work closely with the Finance Manager in Scottsdale, AZ. The staff accountant should have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable working with multiple projects. Key Responsibilities: * Manage accounts payable, monitor to ensure payments do not exceed contracts, and issue timely payments to all vendors * Monitor AP email box for Invoices, track and enter in ERP system. * Determine necessary GL coding and project on expenses for consistent record keeping * Maintain monthly AP accruals * Request and review vendor statements regularly * Credit Cards reconcile and book entries in ERP. * Maintain vendor list, W-9 verification, & 1099 vendor setup * Process check run & ACH payments * Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing including proper support and payments received * Prepare weekly AR Aging report, follow up on past due clients by sending a Statement of Accounts * Review and process accounting adjustments based on analysis and reconciliations of accounts within area of responsibility * Perform special projects/requests, as needed Characteristics Needed to be Successful in this Position: * Enjoys performing the day-to-day accounting functions that maintain a strong foundation for the organization, while equally adept at managing the intensity of verity of projects * Effective problem-solver and a strong "can-do" attitude; willing to work hands-on to get the job done * Detail-oriented, strives for accuracy while balancing the need to meet deadlines. * Effective time management skills and pro-active communicator * Highly ethical with the ability to work cooperatively with other departments without compromising internal controls * Professional and friendly demeanour; foster teamwork; graceful under pressure Qualifications: * 1-5 years of related work experience * B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance * Strong PC skills in Windows-based environment. Working knowledge of the following software packages: Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams * Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously * Strong interpersonal, analytical and leadership skills * High degree of proficiency in communicating both verbally and in writing * Deltek Vantagepoint ERP experience (preferred) * Experience with service-based business in Architecture/Engineering space (preferred) Compensation: * Highly Competitive Salary based on experience * Employer contribution to Healthcare provided * Employer sponsored retirement plan provided * Extremely Generous Paid Time-Off Provided to all employees
