    ZEMINI's client is seeking a Web Design & Audiovisual Consultant!

    About the Web Design & Audiovisual Consultant position

    We are looking for an experienced Web Design & Audiovisual Consultant who will help us to create amazing user experiences. Your duties will include translating high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, transforming them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs. We expect you to have an eye for clean and artful web design. You should also have superior user interface design skills. This role also requires superior audiovisual setup and troubleshooting know-how.

    NOTE: This contract opportunity is a hybrid role; while most duties will be performed remotely, applicants must reside in the MD/VA/DC region and be able to participate in onsite meetings with client's team at least once per month; applicants should also be able and willing to attend local or out-of-area convention and other events (travel expenses paid for/reimbursed by client).

    Web Design Consultant responsibilities are:

    • Participate in all visual design stages from concept to final; maintain & update existing website
    • Develop original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
    • Interact with the team to share and discuss design ideas
    • Prepare wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
    • Discuss designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
    • Set design guidelines, best practices and standards
    • Act as liaison to convention/event venue audiovisual representatives and manage onsite setup & troubleshooting of audiovisual elements for speaker presentations and other events

    Web Design Consultant requirements are:

    • Two (2+) years' experience of working as a Web Designer or Developer, with a solid portfolio of fulfilled works
    • Significant experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
    • Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript as well as widely-used web development & design tools including WordPress
    • Good working experience with Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
    • Strong graphic design and visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
    • Strong problem-solving skills with creative approach to project management
    • Experience with audiovisual setup & troubleshooting for large. complex events
    • Certification or AS, BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, a Visual Arts subject or related disciplines

    What our Client Offers:

    This is a contract (1099) opportunity offering an hourly rate of $35-41/hour, depending on experience; proposed duration of contract is 6 months to 1 year.
