Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. As the Data Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering trucking company and public agency equipment fleet data, coordinating field appointment scheduling, compiling and submitting data to state regulatory databases and other in-office administration in support of the tasks above. The ideal candidate is honest, reliable, and has a proven track record in managing data projects and interacting by phone and email with the general public and customers. Our office is located in Sacramento.
Responsibilities
Assess data sets supplied by the clients in multiple formats
Transfer data to import templates and data entry for multiple regulatory compliance databases
Create data workflow and management procedures
Educate colleagues on workflow procedures
Interface with client representatives to resolve data gaps and schedule field personnel
Document any data deficiencies or scheduling issues for Project Manager
Produce reports for client and Project Manager
Review and stay up-to-date on emissions-related regulations and enforcement trends
Other in-office administrative and research tasks as assigned
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Computer Science or related fields is preferred
Previous experience as a Data Analyst or similar role is required
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work well as part of a team and be detailed oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required
Strong Microsoft Excel experience is required
Familiarity with the geography of California is required
Familiarity with the transportation industry is preferred
Marketing on social media platforms is a plus
