JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist who is capable of working well independently and as a member of our team and who understands the importance of confidentiality and discretion. The Human Resources Generalist will partner with employees at all levels of the organization to provide support with talent acquisition, new hire onboarding, employee training, coaching, and planning for performance in accordance with company objectives. Strong candidates will have experience in Human Resource Management in a business partner or similar role and should have expert knowledge of California labor and employment laws and best practices. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented. Great opportunity for an HR professional seeking personal and professional development in diverse areas of HR.
Onsite, Full-Time Position. Monday-Friday.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with company leaders to source and identify qualified candidates for open roles and develop plans for future needs
Oversees new hire orientation, onboarding efforts, and employee termination and offboarding processes
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable state and Federal employment laws in all states in which the company operates
Maintains robust processes for verifying qualifications
Meets regularly with team leaders to assess personnel needs, review organization changes, review employee relations matters, and maintain open lines of communication between employees, front-line leaders, and senior leadership
Coordinates and documents administrative changes related to employees and/or company policies and maintains accurate information in the company’s HRIS
Maintains training and development programs, monitors feedback, and makes recommendations for improvement
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
Interprets and communicates company policies related to employees, including benefits, workplace safety, conduct, confidential information, compensation, and disciplinary action
Stays abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Participates and plans employee engagement activities and company events, including employee recognition programs, town hall events, community services events, and more.
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
PHR or SHRM Certification is preferred
3+ years of experience in a similar HR-focused role
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent critical thinking & problem-solving ability
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
