Responsibilities:

Automation Engineer is responsible for the implementation and technical support of automated production equipment

Experience leveraging vision systems for robot guidance

Experience integrating automation and robotics for industrial use

Performs design prototyping and testing

Performs system specification, design, architecture, and development for Control Systems

Researches new techniques, products, materials, and processes as well as new vendors/suppliers as required

Understanding of materials used in plastics and metal manufacturing

Work with Manufacturing Engineers and Software Engineers to plan, design, develop and execute the automated process, validate and deploy with production teams

Qualifications:

BS or MS in Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field

Experience working in a biotechnology environment

Experience operating and developing methods for automated systems required
