JOB TITLE: CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT

LOCATION: 100% REMOTE

DURATION: 6 MONTHS CONTRACT TO HIRE     

Need Cloud Infrastructure Architects for six month CTH engagements. 

Need both strong technical and soft skills.  

POSITION SUMMARY:

Looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Architect which is a client facing role to support both presale and delivery. This candidate will work with customers to define their approach for cloud adoption, cloud migrations, infrastructure architecture, application architecture, recommend strategies to improve resiliency, security, and optimize costs.   

In addition, candidates will have significant opportunity to influence Client’s cloud adoption strategy, consulting services, and managed services.  There is an expectation to continue to learn and gain experience in Azure solutions, hybrid-cloud management, and automation.    

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work independently and / or as a part of a Client project team 

• Lead client whiteboard design sessions 

• Lead and / or contribute to technical design sessions 

• Prepare technical design documentation and task-level project plans 

• Work with PM’s to manage client expectations and communications 

• Lead successful projects with a focus of Customer Success 

• Take assigned customers through Cloud Journey 

• Mentor others in Azure Apps and Infrastructure consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments 

• 10 years of experience in the IT field with hands-on experience in system administration and automation 

• 3-5 years of strong experience with Azure or AWS with strong experience with Enterprise workload migrations or implementations to the cloud 

• Solid understanding of cloud security concepts and how to mitigate security risks in the cloud 

• Working knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies 

• Knowledge of SQL, and non-relational (NoSQL) databases

• Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers etc. 

• Experience in Microservices architecture would be beneficial 

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with corporate executives and technical teams 

• Ability and willingness to think strategically and act/implement tactically 

• Self-starter who is action oriented and takes initiative. Critical thinking skills are required.

• Ability to travel ~10-20%
