    ABOUT THE ROLE

    SALARY: $26.54ph

    LOCATION: El Segundo, hybrid working. Must be local to the El Segundo office.

    Due to continued expansion, ZOO Digital currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Assistant to join our HR team based in El Segundo. Supporting the Talent Acquisition Partner, you will contribute to the overall success of the Talent Acquisition department by providing a high level of customer service and maintaining quality standards throughout the hiring process.

    In this role, the Talent Acquisition Assistant’s primary responsibilities will revolve around various administrative tasks in all stages of the recruitment life cycle, including posting job adverts, screening applicants, scheduling interviews with candidates, contacting shortlisted candidates for follow-ups, maintaining applicant databases, onboarding new employees and other areas of Human Resources as needed.

    Duties and responsibilities include:

    • Identifying qualified candidate profiles using various sources (e.g., ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, etc.).

    • Screening candidates’ resumes and job applications for applicable minimum qualifications.

    • Developing talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

    • Scheduling interviews for assigned requisitions.

    • Maintaining ZOO’s applicant tracking system database.

    • Providing guidance on best practices, acceptable interview questions, the interview, responding to interviewees, reference collection, and the recruitment follow-up.

    • Assisting with projects such as employee social media campaigns, referrals, and new hire outreach.

    • Implementing and maintaining strategies that support community outreach, the identification of qualified, diverse candidates, and relationship-building with candidates.

    • Assisting with managing, creating, editing, and revising job advert templates and internal job description database.

    • Posting job adverts to job boards and social media sites/groups (e.g. LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and Twitter).

    • Providing an exceptional candidate and client experience, acting as a true ambassador for ZOO.

    • Managing and reviewing ZOO’s Glassdoor profile.

    • Maintaining approval workflows (Offer and Job Requests).

    • Extending verbal offers of employment.

    • Creating and sending offer letters for execution.

    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

     

    We are looking for applicants with great communication skills and a genuine passion for working with people. At least one year of recent experience as a Recruitment/Talent Acquisition Assistant or similar is essential, as is familiarity with US hiring practices, HR legislation, and procedure.

     

    We are also keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

     

    • Experience of standard hiring practices, such as scheduling interviews and onboarding candidates

    • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS (Preferred).

    • Ability to build rapport with prospective candidates

    • Professional written and verbal communication skills; skilled presenter and effective communicator

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and interface with individuals at all levels, both inside and outside the organization.

    • Strong initiative. Self-driven and able to deliver results with minimal supervision.

    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change the course of action quickly

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Computer and social media savvy

    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and web-based programs.
