You will be a core member of a small, multi-talented hardware team that explores new radar sensor concepts. You will help bring designs from the concept stage into PCBA & mechanical design, board bring-up, product testing, and finally small-scale production. The ideal candidate is a hands-on multidisciplinary engineer who enjoys working and learning about all aspects of hardware design, including electrical, mechanical, and embedded system domains.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design, build, bring up, debug, and test our next-generation 77GHz radar sensors
    • Schematic capture and PCB layout of embedded microcontroller and FPGA systems
    • Propose & execute hardware test plans to verify sensor performance and reliability
    • Expand the capabilities of our test vehicle platform to scale up our radar dataset collection activities
    • Expand the capabilities of our in-house radar test and calibration systems
    • Participate in establishing designs, tests, and release processes used by the team
    • Assist in radar assembly and calibration

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • For new grads: extensive internship, research, engineering project or engineering club experience
    • B.S. or M.S. in EE, ME, CS, or related field
    • Experience bringing an electronics project from schematic design through PCB layout, assembly, and bringup
    • Extensive experience with an electronics design suite (Altium preferred, but not required)
    • Experience with mechanical CAD, prototyping and fabrication
    • Excellent communication, people and project management skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
    • Must be willing to relocate and work onsite in San Jose, CA

    WILLING TO LEARN OR NICE-TO-HAVES:
