Zadar Labs, a leader in imaging radar platforms for automated systems, is looking for a highly motivated Research Engineer to join our engineering team. We are a venture-backed and fast growing startup building disruptive sensor platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, develop, test, and implement state-of-the-art deep learning networks for radar and sensor fusion data for tasks such as object detection, segmentation, tracking, etc.
• Design, develop and implement real-time computer vision, image processing, and sensor fusion algorithms
• Collect, and analyze multi-sensor dataset and build tools and pipelines for labeling, storing, and using the dataset
• Maintain, benchmark, and improve models continuously as new data becomes available

Qualifications:

• PhD in EE, CS, or a related field or MS with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in computer vision, object detection, and deep learning
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch or Tensorflow
• Hands-on experience with OpenCV or similar computer vision libraries
• Experience with image processing algorithms, camera calibration, and multi-sensor fusion
• Proficient in Python and/or C++ programming
• Familiarity with source control
• Ability to analyze large datasets using Python or Matlab

Nice-to-have or willing to learn:

• Experience with developing deep learning models using existing perception datasets
• Familiarity with Radar Signal processing
• GPU programming
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle applications and safety requirements in the automotive industry
