    Zadar Labs, a leader in imaging radar platforms for autonomous systems, is looking for a highly motivated Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team. We are a venture-backed and fast growing startup developing disruptive sensor technology. 

    You will be a core member of the team that explores new radar sensor concepts and will help bring those designs from prototype to production. Your ideas and designs will become the foundation for all future product development at Zadar. The ideal candidate is a multidisciplinary engineer who enjoys working across all aspects of hardware design, including electrical, mechanical, and embedded system domains.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design, manufacture, build, bring up, debug, and test our next-generation 77-81Ghz radar sensors
    • Schematic capture and PCB layout of embedded microcontroller and FPGA systems
    • Propose & execute hardware test plans to verify sensor performance and reliability
    • Close the loop with design to pass our radar performance and reliability requirements
    • Expand the capabilities of our test vehicle platform to scale up our live demos and dataset collection activities
    • Participate in establishing design, test and release processes used by the team
    • Assist in radar assembly and calibration duties with the rest of the hardware team

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2+ years of experience in a design engineering role or similar
    • B.S. or M.S. in EE, ME, CS, or related field
    • Proficiency with an electronics design suite (Altium preferred, but not required)
    • Experience with analog and digital PCBA design
    • Excellent communication, people and project management skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

    NICE-TO-HAVES OR WILLING TO LEARN:

    • Experience with hardware reliability testing and standards compliance testing (FCC, EMI/EMC, etc.)
    • Experience with high speed digital PCB design or RF PCB design
    • Experience with CAD, mechanical prototyping and fabrication
    • Familiarity writing embedded software
