As a Team member of Zanotto's, you do a little of everything, from working the cash registers, stocking shelves, building displays, making sandwiches, cleaning the floor, answering questions about our products, and just generally making sure that every customer has a fun, friendly shopping and dining experience. We encourage our Team Members gain as much experience in all our departments to become a well rounded employee that can help in any capacity needed.Departments may include, Grocery, Meat, Deli, Specialty Cheese, Produce and of course Cashier. Cashier Duties: Scan items and ensure pricing is correct. Take coupons and scan correctly. Dispense correct change. Take money in the form of cash, Debit, Gift Card or credit card. Ask for ID to confirm identity for Alcohol purchases. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change. Resolve amount discrepancies. Bag items carefully. Weigh items. Bag, box merchandise. Process returns and check to see if items are damaged. Answer customers questions and get a manager if answer doesn't solve the issue.
