    ZANTECH IS LOOKING FOR A TALENTED GIS ANALYST TO SUPPORT OUR FEDERAL CLIENT.

    The GIS Analyst will update and maintain CAD and GIS Planimetric data layers (buildings, roads, sidewalks, plain views, vegetation, etc.) and related metadata using the most recent aerial photography, GPS field collection methods, existing hardcopy maps and/or as-built drawings and in-house knowledge.

    The Analyst will work with SMEs in support of the update and maintenance of existing gas, water, electric, communications and storm/sanitary sewer utilities using field collection methods, existing hardcopy maps and/or as-built drawings and in-house knowledge.

    Additionally, the Analyst will periodically conduct walking surveys of  installations with SMEs to  identify and collect data of all altered components such as, but not limited to, buildings, roads, sidewalks, curbs, vegetation, retaining wall, fences, monuments etc., integrating the data and all data identified in to the Master Site Plans with database attribution performed accordingly.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Create and update CAD floor plans of buildings.  This includes facility renovation updates, construction of new facilities, updates of existing plans, and collection of new floor plans using existing in-house hardcopy maps or field measurement data.
    • Update all buildings existing designated floor plans to Architectural Desktop. Ensure that floor plans include A/E/C content features such as intelligent walls, windows and doors.
    • Verify actual methods of construction as the contractor moves along.
    • Integrate the data in the Master Floor Plans files (Multimedia), ePRISMS or Bentley Microstation accordingly and make them available to the Government upon request.
    • Ensure that drawing layers are named in conformance to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) or the CADD/GIS Technology Center's A/E/C CADD Standard Release 2.0 or later.
    • Additional Responsibilities:
      • Support Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure & Environment (SDSFIE) compliance
      • Continued maintenance of consistent, accurate GIS data layers
      • Update of Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings in support of Department of Public Works operations
      • GIS analysis support
      • Data distribution support, and presentation support.

    REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:

    • US Citizenship in order to obtain the required US Security Clearance per contract obligations.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Experience with ePRISMS

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • GPS (Global Positioning System) field data collection support (working knowledge of GPS Equipment)
    • Familiar with the naming conventions used for as-built drawing standard CADD/GIS Technology Center's A/E/C CADD Standard Release 6.0 (or later) or The American Institute of Architects (AIA).
    • Excellent written and verbal skills

    • Strong analytical ability and organization skills
    • Excellent computer skills and the ability to create high-value deliverables
    • Strong customer service and consultation skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
    • Work within a matrix organization to support priority initiatives even those outside primary area of responsibility
    • Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, etc)
    • Work as part of an integrated team with team members that are both locally and remotely located
