SUMMARY: 

Zapata Technology is seeking a Penetration Tester that will perform information systems engineering analysis and will provide solutions to ensure compliance with existing and emerging policies. This position will be located in the San Diego, CA area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Under indirect supervision, perform information systems engineering analysis for testing, assessing, evaluating, integrating, and enforcing requirements of Cybersecurity/IA products and tools to coordinate assessment and acquisition. Responsibilities include the penetration testing, analysis of system architectures, vendor descriptions and technical application guides; interfacing with testing laboratories; prepare test reports; and reviewing solutions to ensure compliance with existing and emerging policies. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS INCLUDE: 

To be considered for this position, candidate must have one of the following to meet DoD 8140 (Formerly DoD 8570x) requirements: 

• GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN)  

• CompTIA PenTest+  

• IACRB Certified Penetration Tester (CPT)  

• ECC Certified Ethical Hacker (Master) (C|EH [Master])

Within 6 months induvial must be able to achieve one of the below certifications that matches their duties which would be provided by Zapata:  

GIAC   

• GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT)   

• GIAC Assessing and Auditing Wireless Networks (GAWN)   

• GIAC Cloud Penetration Tester (GCPN)

IACRB   

• Certified Mobile and Web Application Penetration Tester (CMWAPT)   

• Certified Red Team Operations Professional (CRTOP)
