    OUR VISION OF THE ROLE 

    Zealand US is in search of a skilled and experienced HR Communications Leader to design, lead, and execute employee communications and engagement programs for our US organization. This key HR team member will play a critical role in Zealand US’s ability to attract, onboard and engage talent while supporting cultural and key change management activities. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of HR communications experience. This role requires general experience and knowledge across certain HR functional areas including talent acquisition, talent / organizational development, change management, communications and organizational culture. Experience in pharma/biotech is preferred, particularly with small to medium size companies in a high growth environment.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Lead/facilitate employee-facing communications for Zealand US

    • In partnership with Zealand Denmark, lead US employee survey strategy and execution

    • Act as key HR advocate for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategies and activities 

      1. Strategic sourcing for DEI

      2. DEI communications

      3. DEI training and education

    • Responsible for talent attraction and employment branding strategies

    • Responsible for overall development and upkeep of key HR policies, communications and handbooks

    • Produce superb written internal communications and succinct talking points for executive leaders, and deliver constructive feedback.

    • Drive communication activities to support transformation, change management and culture initiatives

    • Development and management of coordinated employee engagement strategies

    • Develops strategies and activities for key events such as company goals and projects; new products or services; community service activities; and new hires, promotions, and retirements.

    • Lead efforts to create an uplifting and inspiring work culture and environment

    • Create buzz around Zealand US to excite current and prospective Zealand employees

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

    • An excellent writer who can quickly understand and articulate what we need employees to know, feel, and do; distill complex ideas into simple, honest and compelling communications; and be attentive to detail and zoom in to master the details and zoom out to keep an eye on the big picture. You are also able to deliver succinct talking points and superb written communications for leaders

    • Credible HR leader who will be acknowledged as a trusted partner and functional expert to leaders

    • 5+ years of HR and/or communications experience in progressively responsible roles

    • Experience partnering with senior-level executives to develop and drive people strategies and solutions

    • Experience with biotechnology, healthcare, pharmaceutical and/or life sciences industries is preferred

    • Demonstrated track record of influencing in a matrix environment 

    • Experience working in global teams; direct experience working outside of the U.S. capability preferred  

    • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in industrial/organizational psychology, human resource management, business, communications or a related field is required.
