    Overview

    The Director of Strategies and Operations is a senior leadership position that requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and operational expertise to drive business and growth. This person is responsible for developing leadership talent while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. They will oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and sales growth.

    Responsibilities:

    Operational Excellence:

    • Oversee and manage all aspects of daily operations within your salon group to ensure smooth functioning operation.
    • Provide strategic leadership and direction to direct reports.
    • Analyze performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
    • Establish key performance indicators to measure and track operational performance.
    • Provide regular reports and updates on operational performance to key leadership.
    • Travel to salons up to 5 days per week to coach the team on business, service, and operational standards.
    • Coordinate travel to spend 1 on 1 time with the direct reports as well as time in each salon being visible and observing the operations and the team.
    • Handle and resolve guest concerns and issues as needed.
    • Educate and promote all corporate policies, procedures, and work rules.

    Strategic Planning:

    • Collaborate with peers and family leadership to develop & implement long term goals and objectives.
    • Analyze performance data to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Implement change management strategies to minimize resistance and promote adoption.

    Team Development:

    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing operations team.
    • Manage the applicant tracking tool for salon group.
    • Foster a positive environment/culture.
    • Responsible for building a high-performing team that works together to achieve results.
    • Ensure a high level of employee satisfaction through strong leadership to retain the best talent.
    • Coach and communicate with Territory Leaders and Salon leaders to develop Stylists for leadership positions.
    • Ensure that technical training is provided to the salon teams as necessary to increase performance and guest satisfaction.
    • Ensure that performance and leadership standards are met by each member of their team and in each salon.

    Qualifications

    • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with a track record of driving business results.
    • Proven experience in a leadership role.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Frequent overnight travel may be required.
    • Ability to travel between salons daily.
    • Ability to coach exceptional guest service and performance of quality services.
    • Team player with strong leadership qualities.
    • Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace while demonstrating good judgment and time management skills.
    • Communicate effectively with the salon team, peers, supervisors, and customers.
    • Strong training and presentation skills.
    • Ability to read and analyze various salon reports.
    • Great reading, writing, math, and computer skills required.
    • Valid driver's license and be insurable for motor vehicle use.
    • Brand Ambassador to the beauty schools and students.
