  • Responsibilities

    Position Summary: The Director of Sales will be responsible for overseeing the business development manager’s efforts to drive sales and revenue. This employee will develop and implement strategic sales plans alongside the Chief Revenue Officer, identify new business opportunities, and fostering client relationships. This employee will collaborate with the executive team to set sales targets, analyze market trends, and ensure alignment with company goals. Strong leadership skills are essential to guide and motivate the business development managers, and effective communication is crucial for fostering a successful sales team.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Lead and mentor the business development managers to enhance their skills and performance.

    • Set and monitor sales targets, ensure they align with overall company objectives.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as project management and estimating, to streamline sales processes and optimize project delivery.

    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understand their needs, and ensure customer satisfaction.

    • Create and develop persuasive sales presentations to potential clients.

    • Analyze sales data and metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.

    • Implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share.

    • Stay in touch with industry developments and incorporate relevant insights into the sales strategy.

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with promotional activities.

    • All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, preferred. Advance degrees or relevant certifications may be beneficial.

    • Successful track record in sales leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.

    • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide business development managers to achieve collective goals.

    • Demonstrated strategic planning abilities, including the development and execution of comprehensive sales plans aligned with overall business objectives.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, internal teams, and executives.

    • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.

    • Proficient in analyzing sales data, market trends, and performance metrics to make informed decisions and adjustments to sales strategies.

    • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts and agreements with clients.

    • Ability to adapt to changes in the market, industry regulations, and internal processes to ensure continued success.
