    Position Objective /Goal:

    The Business Sales Consultant (BSC) will be responsible for representing South Slope’s Sales department. This position will be working with existing, new and potential customers and selling both new and existing products. The BSC will be responsible for devising strategies for selling and promoting products and services offered by South Slope. The BSC will interface with new clients by creating competitive sales proposals and campaigns in conjunction with the marketing team and performing research to remain competitive. The BSC will identify opportunities with new and existing customer accounts and will work within the department to establish sales strategies to increase our business presence locally.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
    • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
    • Must have a professional presentation style.
    • Must be willing to work both standard working hours and non-standard hours to meet customer needs.
    • Must have excellent communication skills.
    • Must be familiar with using and tracking sales in a CRM environment.
    • Familiarity with eLation billing is preferred.
    • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and great leadership skills.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Develop, plan, and implement quarterly and annual Sales Strategies.
    • Identify current sales process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure success of Sales campaigns.
    • May be required to attend events in the evening after hours.
    • Monitor and report Key Performance Metrics or Indicators.
    • Stay up to date with best practices in the industry.
    • Monitor competition to find new target segments.
    • Execute business plans and sales targets to meet business goals and quotas.
    • Prospect new business opportunities.
    • Ensure that customers have access to products and services that meets their immediate and future needs.
    • Capitalize on opportunities to promote service packages that best suit customer needs and wants.
    • Address all customer complaints and provide solutions whenever necessary.
    • Attend required meetings and training sessions.

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Liberal Arts or equivalent experience required.

    Experience:

    3-5 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
    3-5 years of experience serving clients in Telecommunications.
    Some door to door experience a plus but not required.

    Standard Working Hours: Monday thru Friday (8:00 am to 4:30pm)

    Hours per week: 40 hours per week with occasional overtime requirement to support business needs.

    Work environment: Must be able to work in an office setting and in the field while interfacing with customers and prospective business clients. Must have the ability to stand and sit continuously. Must be able to operate office equipment including a computer/laptop, calculator, fax machine, copier, scanner, telephone etc. Must have an excellent driving report and be willing to travel during normal business hours. This position may be eligible to work remotely 1-2 days per week, depending on business needs.
