Position Summary: The Director of Operations is responsible for leadership and decision-making initiatives when it comes to budgeting, financials, aircraft inventory, pilot staffing levels, and following FAA regulations.
Essential Job Functions
- Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.
- Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with CEO.
- Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the Company achieves targets for growth and profitability.
- Monitor performance and take corrective measures when necessary and prepare detailed updates and forecasts.
- Communicate with FAA and utilize the FAA portal.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities in operations, maintenance, and safety to ensure safe, effective, and efficient operations.
- Assist in preparing, justifying, and administering the operational budget; monitor budget performance against projected performance to ensure budget objectives are met.
- Implement programs and assist with developing strategic initiatives.
- Assume leadership responsibilities with direct reports and delegate tasks accordingly.
- Maintain proper aircraft inventory.
- Manage organizational structure required to accomplish objectives in an effective and efficient manner.
- Remain informed on pilot staffing levels.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, required.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience within the field, required.
- Must be a licensed PIC.
- Proven experience in policy planning, program development, budget preparation and administration, and contract administration at an executive level.
