In the Lincoln, NE office, Employee Benefit Service associates handle enrollment, eligibility, and billing for group and retirement plans for our members. Associates answer calls from internal staff and cooperative benefit administrators with a wide range of inquiries and needs primarily related to group benefits and retirement plans. We also offer a hybrid work schedule. (2 days in the office; 3 days remote).
Key Responsibilities
Processing tasks related to enrollments, eligibility, and billing.
Understanding and application of rules related to policies and plans.
Collaborate with departments that EBS supports.
Written communications to benefit administrators.
Answering calls and providing support to internal staff and benefit administrators
Maintain proficiency and accuracy in all Employee Benefit Service subjects and processing.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Skills
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
One year experience in a customer service position, OR a bachelor’s degree in business with 6 months customer service.
Can work Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in business
Experience in duties related to insurance/retirement plans.
Essential Physical Requirements
Close visual acuity to perform activities, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; documentation; and viewing a computer screen.
If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
