Zen Ecosystems provides intelligent energy management solutions to businesses and consumers. We help our customers reduce their energy bills and allow them to take control of their energy through simple, connected, beautiful products ranging from our elegant smart thermostat to our powerful Zen HQ software platform. We partner with national brands, distributors, network operators and utilities to bring new energy solutions to market for commercial and residential buildings. We currently have an opening on our team for a strong technical and process-driven Sales Development Representative to support our ongoing revenue growth. Duties & Responsibilities: - Making outbound phone calls to potential prospects to inform them about the benefits of Zen HQ. - Answering inbound sales inquiries and responding to marketing-provided leads. - Qualifying prospects and setting appointments product demonstrations. - Following up with cold prospects to re-engage their interest. - Providing weekly updates to management. - Documenting activities using Salesforce CRM. - Researching prospects online using various applications Experience: - Minimum 1-2 or more years in a sales or customer-supporting role, with previous Sales Development experience preferred. - Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding quotas. - Demonstrated experience in a high activity role. Technical Skills: - Proficient in the use of Windows, MS Office. - Ability to navigate sales CRM system. - Salesforce CRM experience strongly preferred. - Strong technical acumen. Performance skills: - Articulate and enthusiastic phone demeanor. - High comfort with cold calling. - Motivated to meet personal targets. - Ability to work independently with limited supervision and maintain a high level of personal productivity. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Education: - College diploma or equivalent experience. Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time. - Repetitive hand/wrist motion. - Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. - Visual/auditory: working with computer terminal, telephones, office equipment.
