    THE POSITION

    Zen Focus Tech is looking for a passionate part-time, Help Desk Technician (Level 1) to join our growing team! This position manages the Help Desk tickets and engages with our clients to solve their needs. More specifically, top essential functions and duties include:  

    • Manage Help Desk tickets according to priority, and in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with all levels of the Help Desk department to solve escalated matters and unresolved issues.
    • Provide customer assistance by troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
    • Assess client needs and suggest the best products and services based on market research.
    • Record events, customer interactions, and resolutions in the designated log.
    • Provide ongoing support to maintenance clients by performing a monthly review of data security which includes ensuring successful completion of the backups, antivirus monitoring and testing, and updating softwares and equipment.

     

    THE CANDIDATE

    Our ideal candidate is an IT geek with a passion for helping our clients navigate IT challenges. They will also have the following attributes, qualifications and skills:

    • Highly proficient in Windows, Mac, IOS and Android with a strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
    • Customer-oriented individual that embraces knowledge with a curious mindset.
    • Dependable, patient, and trustworthy, committed to the success of both Zen Focus Tech and our clients’ businesses.
    • Has a gift for communicating effectively and competently in English to understand issues and explain solutions to clients.
    • Holding a BS/BA in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field AND being a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer is highly preferred.
    • Previous 1+ years of experience working in a help desk environment is ideal!

    SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

    This is a part-time position with a hybrid of virtual and on-site client work. The schedule will be determined at the time of hire; however, the scheduled 15 hours per week will occur between Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5pm.

    The Help Desk Technician pay range is between $18/hr - $23/hr.
