    Job Description

    Zentist is a seed-stage SaaS company bringing the on-demand economy to the $134B dental industry. We make it simple for patients to find and book a full range of procedures with dentists that are the best fit for them, and manage the entire process on behalf of the practice.     THE COMPANY: 

    Zentist is a dental marketplace platform. For our patients, we provide a streamlined diagnostics and treatment UX to help find and finance high-quality dental care. On the side of our dental partners, we provide a full suite of patient management services and a stream of valuable patient referrals. Our mission is to provide unparalleled access to excellent yet affordable dental care.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop user experiences for both sides of the Zentist marketplace: our patients and our practice management users
    • Contribute to a wide range of development issues - including front-end, back-end, and DevOps - based on dynamic company priorities
    • Refine existing products via thoughtful experiments within our company-wide framework of analytics, testing, and iteration
    • Own the development of rapid prototypes for new business development ideas
    • Synthesize product requirements and testing to ensure that user experience you create is well-aligned with customer needs and the company’s vision
    • Work collaboratively with our engineering team to design and ship features in a weekly sprint format, implement new technologies, and determine technical tradeoffs
    • Work with the product and business teams to create development estimates, prototypes, analytics reports, QA, and debugging
    • For context, some of our past projects include: uploading and verifying patient information, scheduling patient visits for a variety of services, procedure price quoting, processing insurance, collecting payment, and more

    WE ARE LOOKING FOR TEAMMATES WHO BRING:

    • Demonstrable excellent quality output. We look for functionality, maintainability, performance, and great documentation. Including your Github, SO, software blogs, etc. to this end would add to your application
    • At least 6-12 months of intensive work with an engineering team that continuously delivered a first-rate product to end users
    • Strong communication skills in a team environment
    • Experience with Python and Javascript
    • Proficiency in up-to-date engineering tools, including Git, your IDE of choice, AWS / Azure, etc.
    • Comfort learning new languages, libraries, and frameworks when the solution calls for it
    • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent

    BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

    • An understanding of HIPAA compliance and the related set of required security practices
    • Worked in a team with similar workflow practices
    • Architected a scaled front-end web application with React.js 
    • Engineering experience in an early-stage startup with users and revenue
    • Data modeling expertise, especially in workflow management
    • Experience with complex data queries and algorithms
    • Previously built and maintained rapid test environments
