    Summary of Responsibilities

    As an Architect, you will be creating architectural drawings for residential remodeling projects in collaboration with other JFCo professionals. The Architect also handles material assessments, gathers pricing information including subcontractor bids, and helps with detailed cost estimates for Project Developers. Additionally, you will contribute to proposal development and presentation to customers. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in reading blueprints, specifications, and other industry documents, as well as accurately estimating materials and writing job specifications. You should possess extensive knowledge of residential construction methods, zoning, building codes, and basic building trades like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Additionally, you should be able to anticipate construction processes and adapt to new practices while demonstrating excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills with customers, colleagues, and subcontractors. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks and make decisions are also essential.

    Essential Functions

    • Ability in using software tools like 20/20, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook), and remodeling industry platforms such as Hometech and BuilderTrend.
    • Preferred drafting programs include, Revit, SketchUp; other design based programs.
    • Ability to lead and manage 1 team member.
    • Support Project Developers throughout the design and production phases.
    • Develop architectural drawings at every stage of the design process, including existing conditions, schematic design, design development, and construction drawings.
    • Evaluate/produce takeoffs of material specifications from drawings for estimating.
    • Other responsibilities include pre-construction services (drawing and non-drawing Related), production, administration, sales, and management of people and processes.

    Education, Experience, and Skills Required

    • 2 years of experience in residential architectural design.
    • 1 year of residential construction-related experience.
    • High-end residential design experience is a plus.
    • Professional degree, preferably in Architectural Design/Drafting.
    • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, clean driving record, and personal transportation.
    • Must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail while completing all job tasks.
    • Full Time, in-office, Mon-Fri.

    Compensation

    • $75,000 - $95,000, and benefits, with appropriate and/or preferred experience.
    • 6 Paid Holidays.
    • Paid Vacation/PTO.
    • Health, vision, and dental insurance after 90 days.
    • 401k with employer contribution after 1 year of service.
    • Mileage reimbursement.
    • End of year bonus.
