    Summary of Responsibilities

    As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional quality workmanship while adhering to well-prepared schedules and budgets. With your strong background in construction management, your role will be to manage schedules, coordinate trades, handle challenges, provide an exceptional customer experience and build on Merrick's stellar reputation.     Essential Functions

    • Deliver exceptional customer service.
    • Ensure timely project completion within budget constraints.
    • Facilitate communication among clients, subcontractors, and staff.
    • Manage daily operations of construction projects.
    • Collaborate closely with Merrick’s lead carpenter for each project.
    • Coordinate effectively with Merrick’s supportive design team.
    • Coordinate scheduling of materials, labor, and subcontractors to meet or exceed project deadlines and budgets.
    • Interpret blueprints and review shop drawings for accuracy and trade coordination.
    • Prepare material and labor estimates, change orders, and pricing for review.
    • Manage multiple projects effectively with support from the Merrick team.
    • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and task prioritization.
    • Follow through on tasks to completion.
    • Ensure accountability when needed.
    • Pay close attention to detail.

    Education, Experience, and Skills Required

    • Minimum 10 years of experience of hands-on finish carpentry
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in residential construction
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Project Management courses a plus but not required 

    Compensation

    • $120,000+ based on experience
    • Bonus eligibility based on performance
    • $500 per month contribution for Medical/Dental
    • 401K (4% contribution), 8 paid holidays,
    • 5 sick days prorated
    • Robust vacation based on length of employment?
    • Company vehicle with $250/mo gas allowance
