A letter from the owner, Scott Hinz

Are you the type of person that loves to organize people and/or projects? Are you the type of person that loves to create beauty through craftsmanship? Do you have experience managing and/or leading carpenters? Are you looking for a middle management type position that utilizes your leadership and organizational qualities, but minimizes the stress in and outside of work?

The position we are looking to fill is a bit unique so let me explain a little about what traits we are looking for and what specific job functions this person would perform. We are looking for someone who is highly organized and can set and hit goals through efficiency and problem solving. Someone with great attention to detail and little or no tolerance for poor craftsmanship. Someone confident, not arrogant in their skills and management style and a great communicator. Someone that knows their strengths and is not afraid to admit their weaknesses.

We are picturing someone that has managed carpenter crews in the past for remodeling projects and prefers to work for a great company. Possibly someone that was self-employed and does not want the stress of ownership, but the peace of mind to have a great job to go to every day.

This position would be responsible for managing a small crew of carpenters in their daily activities. These projects consist of minor rough carpentry, finish carpentry, siding, demolition, custom cabinetry, decks and other in-house labor. This position does not entail full remodeling project management but is an avenue for potential growth. We have project managers that manage our projects and this hire would work with the PMs to finish the carpentry items within the scheduled time that he or she would help build and therefore staying in budget. This person would also be in charge of tool and equipment maintenance and inventory and serve as the spokesperson for that part of the company by attending weekly production meetings and submitting daily logs through a construction management program. This person would also make sure that our in-house carpenters were representing Total Quality Construction by reflecting true professionalism, maintaining jobsite safety and cleanliness and keeping positive attitudes and preserving relationships.

If this sounds like you, please contact us so that you can meet the team, we can meet you and possibly join a growing company with great values and security. “Experience Total Quality”
