    Summary of Responsibilities

    As our business continues to expand, we are looking for our 5thProject Developer. As a Project Developer, you will create Pre-Construction Service Agreements, prepare design packages, estimate costs for residential projects like kitchens, baths, basements, additions, and whole house remodels, and finalize sales before handing over to the Production Department and Project Manager. You will specialize in Kitchen and Bath Design, Residential Architectural Design, and/or estimating. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in reading blueprints, specifications, and other industry documents, as well as accurately estimating materials and writing job specifications. You should possess extensive knowledge of residential construction methods, zoning, building codes, and basic building trades like plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Additionally, you should be able to anticipate construction processes and adapt to new practices while demonstrating excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills with customers, colleagues, and subcontractors. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks and make decisions are also essential.

    Essential Functions

    • Ability in using software tools like 20/20, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook), and remodeling industry platforms such as Hometech and BuilderTrend.
    • Develop and write specifications and scope of work documents for jobs that JFCo develops via Pre-Construction Services Agreements.
    • Complete design and architectural drawings including existing conditions, floor plans, elevations, sections, etc.
    • Complete estimates including invitations to bid, pre-bid site meetings, RFI’s, material take offs, and estimates in multiple platforms.
    • Other responsibilities include pre-construction services, estimating, production assistance, sales, and management of people and processes.

    Education, Experience, and Skills Required

    • 5 years of experience in designing, drafting, specifying and selecting materials, estimating, and selling, residential remodeling work.
    • 5 years of progressive experience in selling residential remodeling work; and demonstrated sales and estimating success(s).
    • Professional degree, preferably in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management/Technology, OR equivalent experience.
    • Hands-on remodeling experience is a plus.
    • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, clean driving record, and personal transportation.
    • Full Time Mon-Fri.

    Compensation 

    • $75,000 - $85,000, and benefits, with appropriate and/or preferred experience.
    • Paid Holidays.
    • Paid Vacation/Sick Time.
