Restaurant Server
Zeppoz Restaurant and Bar is seeking outgoing, energetic, hard-working personalities to join our team! Our Servers are the key to providing an excellent customer experience for our guests.
Our Restaurant Servers Will:
Greet, welcome and seat guests quickly and kindly and let them know who will be taking care of them
Be aware of any daily menu changes, specials and soups, and communicate specials and daily soup options to guests
Familiarize customers with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested
Take customer orders and relay them quickly and accurately to relevant team members.
Serve food and beverages to guests and check in on guests to see how they are enjoying their meal
Anticipate guests’ needs to facilitate an enjoyable dining experience, including drink refills, condiments, utensils, napkins, coasters, etc
Keep tables clean at all times by removing empty/finished service items. Ask if you may take their plate, etc
Upon finishing meals, ask guests if they are interested in dessert
During shift changes, transition guests to another server smoothly without interruption or a break in service to the guest
When guests are finished, thank them for coming in and collect payment in a timely manner.
Ring in purchases and complete transactions, including securely handling cash, credit and debit cards
Clear, properly clean and set tables between uses.
Thank guests for coming in and invite them to come back.
Communicate kindly and cooperate with all staff in the building
Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations, customer service guidelines, and company policies.
Qualifications for Restaurant Servers:
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good attitude toward teamwork, open to feedback on improving service
Strong work ethic, with a willingness to take initiative
Confident, outgoing demeanor
Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends
Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 4 hours, bend, stoop and lift a moderate weight
Abide by and enforce state, local, and federal mandates
Be of legal age to serve alcohol and to be able to obtain MAST license
Obtain a Food Handlers Permit
Previous successful restaurant or service experience, cash register/handling experience, food safety training will be considered a plus
References may be requested. Background check may be required.
Starting wage is $15.74/hour, plus tips
