Our client, a growing global law firm specializing in insurance coverage/defense law is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal with three (3) years or more of experience in Pennsylvania Defense Litigation to join their team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of their Philadelphia, PA office with a salary of $75k-$80k.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to review medical records and add relevant dates/information to the medical chronology
• Prepare discovery motions (Motions to Extend Discovery, Motion to Compel Discovery, and Motion to Enforce Subpoena)
• Experience reviewing Plaintiff's Answers to Interrogatories
• Schedule and coordinate IME's for plaintiff
• Research (Westlaw preferred) and other online sources
• Assist in retention of experts
• Prepare HIPPA Authorization Forms for Plaintiff's execution and return
• Retrieval of medical records from providers
• Follow-up with providers to ensure receipt of records of HIPPA request
• Perform Jury Verdict Searches using Westlaw
• Preparation of privilege logs
• Production of documents

Required Experience

• 3 or more years of relevant experience [Defense Litigation]
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Thorough working knowledge of and experience working in the Pennsylvania State and Federal court systems
• Experience drafting and entering time entries [annual billing requirement 1400 hours]
• Experience with Westlaw, Lexis, PACER
• College Graduate and/or Paralegal Certification from an ABA accredited program
• Ability to work from home but have flexibility when needed in office. Firm hybrid policy is 3 days in Philadelphia office and 2 days from home
