    DescriptionZermount Inc. is looking for a qualified intern to join our IT team. IT interns must support the IT team in the maintenance of hardware, software and other systems. They must troubleshoot issues with equipment like printers, computers and servers. They run software updates backups when requested. IT interns may participate in the development of new desktops, servers or applications. They may research hosting options and report pricing and system options to supervisors. They may also research unusual bugs or issues the company encounters. They will interpreting data, using statistical techniques, writing and delivering reports, maintaining databases, and providing assistance to management.Essential Functions:Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systemsProvide technical support in response to user requests for serviceAssist with troubleshooting IT issues, provide technical support, and help develop IT solutionsSupport PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application softwareMonitor antivirus software and updates and repair computers infected with spyware, adware, viruses, etc.Organize, inventory, and maintain IT resources and documentation for those resourcesPerform minor repairs to equipment and arrange for other servicing needsDevelop and provide user training for basic hardware and software useProvide IT support as-needed for cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center managementWork on ad-hoc projects such as software development and implementationMaintains open communication and positive working relationship with staffPerform other duties as assigned, and assist in other areas as-needed, such as business development or recruitingWill learn how to maintain existing reports and develop new reports using Excel and SQL Server ReportingQualifications:Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar majorAbility to learn quickly and retain detailsStrong verbal and written communicationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well in a teamStrong work ethic and attention to detailAbility to lift 25 poundsProficiency in computer applications:Microsoft Excel – Manipulation of data; transferring data; development of charts and tablesMicrosoft Word – Entering and formatting text; inserting charts, tables, and other visualsMicrosoft PowerPoint – Creating and editing slides; inserting text, charts, tables, and visualsConducting research via internet * Ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently manage timeAbility to respond effectively to inquiries or complaintsAbility to develop, maintain, and promote strong internal and external relationshipsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to maintain professional (business casual) dress and groomingPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and governanceFamiliarity with such languages as Python, JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, JSON, .NET, etc.Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint administration/developmentWork Location and Core Hours:Arlington, VA9am – 5pmJob Type: InternshipOpportunity to hire for Corporate or Federal positionPowered by JazzHRQdzbjmAjBE
