With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships, and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing health challenges.   

     

    PATH began its work in India in the late 1990s, bringing governments, communities, private-sector companies, and experienced public health practitioners together to address some of the country’s most crucial health problems. In early 2000, the scope of our India program expanded with a major immunization initiative for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Today, PATH’s India projects focus on TB, immunization, HIV/AIDS, injection safety, maternal health, Innovation Labs, and more. 

     

    PATH seeks to recruit a PROJECT LEADER (MNCH) for initiative on improving MNCH outcomes in project states. This project will implement initiatives to improve access to quality MNCH services, capacity of states, accountability, and public private partnerships. The PL will provide leadership, managerial and technical support throughout the implementation of the project and will be responsible for the administration, program management, performance monitoring and technical implementation and oversight of all program activities.

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • PL will provide the overall strategic direction, technical and managerial oversight for the project to achieve expected results within budget and timeframe
    • Ensure project activities are technically sound, evidence-based, and responsive to the needs of the project
    • Stay abreast of emerging MNCH evidence, issues, activities, and trends across the global MNCH community and seek opportunities to incorporate in the project
    • Serve as expert advisor on complex and precedent-setting maternal and child health programs, including complex and fragile settings
    • Foster relationships with government, donors, global and regional institutions, private sector entities, government ministries, and other stakeholders for the smooth implementation of program activities
    • Supervise, manage, mentor, and support a team of highly qualified technical, program, finance staffs and align their efforts with program goals to ensure the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all products and activities under the project
    • Ensure timely, high-quality, and complete submission of work plans, quarterly and annual reports, financial reports, and any other reports required by the donor agency
    • Represent the project at regional, national, and international forums, including technical conferences, policy briefings, etc.

     

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • 12-15 years of experience in public health of managing state and/or national level projects with experience of government engagement and donor organization.
    • Well recognized work history in public health at National level in the field of MNCH is mandatory. 
    • Proven record of developing and maintaining strong and effective partnerships.
    • Management skills, strategic vision, ability to create synergies, interpersonal skills to fulfill the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the project. 
    • Professional experience working with international donor organizations, civil society, and government organizations.
    • Candidates with prior experience in similar leadership role of similar size and complexity will be preferred.

       

     

    Must have legal authorization to work in India.
