    The Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN) secretariat seeks to engage a part time Partnership Engagement Manager to be an integral part of the ECDAN secretariat connecting, aligning, and working with ECDAN partners and networks across the world and creating an environment of trust, collective action and collaboration. The Partnership Engagement Manager will work closely with regional ECD networks, facilitating their engagement, and coordination with other ECDAN partners and the Secretariat, develop trust, consensus on joint activities and identify and support joint fundraising. The position will report directly to the Executive Director who is responsible for ECDAN’s overall operations and management.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Partnership Engagement manager will work on the following responsibilities in close collaboration with the ECDAN Secretariat, under the supervision of the Executive Director:

     

    RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

    • Support development and implementation of ECDAN’s Partnership framework and accountability mechanism.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with ECDAN partners, including regional networks, global sector partnerships and other coalitions and key stakeholders.
    • Identify and develop new partnership leads, clearly identifying opportunities to coordinate and align with overall ECDAN’s strategic objectives.
    • Organize annual planning meeting with Regional ECD Networks to develop joint initiatives and workplan for the year and quarterly meetings to follow up on the status of planned activities.
    • Organize one annual partnership meeting with global partnerships to provide updates on the status of young children and the efforts they have undertaken.
    • Collaborate with the project PADM, RPM, and PATH’s legal team to support the processing of Memorandum of Collaboration (MOCs) with each of the Regional ECD Networks and develop ECDAN’s partnership model with the Regional ECD Networks in collaboration with the Regional ECD Networks.
    • Develop, review, and ensure that existing MOCs with partners are up-to-date. Follow up with partners to ensure that they are complying with MOC agreements.
    • Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations.

     

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    • Coordinate the implementation of joint activities with the Regional ECD Networks, ensuring that the Regional ECD Networks are adequately represented across all of ECDAN’s platforms and efforts, and vice versa, that ECDAN is adequately represented across the platforms and efforts of the Regional ECD Networks.
    • Maintain regular communications with regional networks and other ECDAN partners on joint activities and collaborative initiatives.
    • Connect partners, identify opportunities for collaborative efforts and support ongoing partner collaborative efforts and initiatives.
    • Organize, engage, and follow-up on regularly scheduled meetings—formal and informal—with key partner staff to better understand their needs and translate those into collaboration and co-creation opportunities for ECDAN partners.
    • Support new business development for joint activities with regional networks and other partners by coordinating proposal development processes, and ensuring that all partners are contributing the development process.

     

    KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION

    • Develop communications products and actively disseminate outputs from ECDAN’s collaborative efforts, ensuring that ECDAN’s partners and members are well informed of ECDAN’s partnerships and are given opportunities to actively engage in deepening these collaborative efforts.
    • Develop ECDAN’s protocols and systems for managing partnerships including researching and implementing technological solutions like CRMs (Customer Relationship Management) and other relevant products.
    • Develop and implement ECDAN’s partnership engagement processes including templates, checklists, workplans, calendar, and other products that systematize ECDAN’s partnership engagement and facilitates efficient and effective partner engagement.
    • Develop and maintain ECDAN’s internal partnership knowledge management system with up-to-date meeting minutes, partnership status, memoranda of collaborations (MOC), shared documents and other relevant documents.
    • Develop, track, and report on key metrics to monitor and track ECDAN’s Partnership Engagement.
    • Contribute actively to develop global public goods, product and services development activities and liaises other Secretariat staff about partner collaborative and co-creation opportunities.

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in International Development, Global Health or related field preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in partner engagement and coordination at global level.
    • Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to build trust and consensus and managing conflict of interest issues.
    • Strong conceptual/analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and information and produce coherent reports and frameworks.
    • Experience in building and managing partnerships and alliances to advance and refine influence coordination and collaboration strategies.
    • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal skills for communicating with broad and diverse stakeholders.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to cultivate contacts and build genuine partnerships with international groups and networks
    • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.
    • Knowledge and experience with international organizations and/or global partnerships
    • Ability to work autonomously combined with experience working remotely and in support of programs abroad.
    • Experience working globally, with partners and cross-functional teams and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment for a growing, dynamic network.
