    JOB PROFILE

    REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OPERATIONS – SKILLED NURSING

     

    Scope of the Job

    This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will be based in Eastern Kentucky or Tennessee. You will be expected to lead administrators and manage the overall operations of the assigned facilities in accordance with customer needs, government regulations, and company policies. You will focus on maintaining excellent care for residents/patients while maintaining the census at desired levels. Additionally, you will be held accountable for meeting financial/budget goals while achieving business objectives.

     

    You will be expected to:

    • Have oversight of the assigned facilities in the assigned region.
    • Oversee the leadership of the facilities in the assigned region. Lead the facility management staff and consultants in developing and working from a business plan that focuses on all aspects of facility operations.
    • Develop an environment that allows for creative thinking, problem-solving, and empowerment in the development of a facility management team.
    • Oversee the regional team that is charged with providing support to the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and other department heads in managing the business (Regional Nurses, Sales/Marketing Directors, Chaplains).
    • Oversee administrators in their providing excellent customer service both to internal and external customers through the ongoing support and implementation of customer service initiatives and business objectives.
    • Train Administrators to develop and implement a marketing strategy for the facilities that reflects service opportunities, competition, and potential market area changes, and which maximizes census, payor mix, and ancillary revenues.
    • Consult with Nursing Home Administrations and Department Managers concerning the operation of their departments to assist in eliminating/correcting problem areas, and/or improvement of services.
    • Develop facility budgets and business practices to include labor costs, payables, and receivables.

     

    Candidate Requirements

    • We seek a healthcare executive with 10 years of experience in post-acute healthcare and a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience with a geographically dispersed workforce and proven success in multi-site skilled nursing facility operations. Overnight travel is required.


    • We seek a healthcare executive with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or a related field. Advanced Degree, MBA, MHA, etc. is highly desirable.
