Key Responsibilities
- Originate consumer loans: Take applications, collect conditions, and complete a loan file for underwriting decision
- Communicate effectively: Converse with applicants on the phone, via chat, email, and text, ideally bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Share best practices across a growing team: share best practices, prior experience, new learnings, and challenges across a growing team of MLOs working to disrupt manufactured housing finance
- Provide business and consumer needs to engineering convey business needs to internal engineering team for constant technology improvement
- Continually improve internal processes: optimize for consumer outcomes, internal efficiency and best in class risk and controls
- Manage risk: be the front line for risk decisioning on new loans
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Experience in loan production, ideally housing related
- Passionate about creating better consumer outcomes and solving the affordable housing crisis
- Team player that is self-motivated, creative and solutions focused
- Obtain Mortgage Loan Originator licenses in relevant states
- Obtain Insurance Agent License in relevant states (optional)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and autonomous worker
- Undergraduate degree or extended relevant work experience
- Consumer outcome-oriented and ability to inspire the team to do great things for homebuyers
- Comfortable in an uncertain, fast-paced environment that will evolve as our technology and business scales
- Collaborative and innovative with a strong desire for the entire team to win together
