    Salary: $36k+/yr DOE

    Work Hours: 8am – 4pm (lunch paid)

    Start Date:  ASAP

    Interview: Possibly via Skype or In Person

    Training/Work: Initially could be both remote and/or some on-site. Possibly a hybrid type situation.

    Office currently has limited personnel but will open fulltime for on-site work and no remote.

     

    1. General Position Summary

    This position is responsible for performing sales support functions, including providing customer service, maintaining sales information, and creating documents as necessary.

    PERFORMS SALES SUPPORT FUNCTIONS

    by processing sales data and generating sales reports; by utilizing the EDI (drop order system) and GP (Great Plains) systems daily; by receiving, processing, and confirming orders; by creating purchase orders, letters of credit, and sales contracts; by documenting new project inquiries from new and current clients; by conducting research activities over the telephone in order to grasp current market needs; by making quotations and sending them to the customers; by contacting customers in order to troubleshoot problems as they occur; by monitoring past due accounts, and by performing any other sales support functions as necessary.

    SUPPORTS SERVICE STAFF >> SALES REPS

    by effectively communicating with customers via phone, fax, and e-mail and handling questions, requests, and claims; by providing information about sales order status; by providing customer quotes; by following up on all customer calls, visits, and inquiries; by reporting customer concerns, and resolving when possible; and by troubleshooting any problems in a timely manner.

    MAINTAINS INFORMATION

    by maintaining sales data; by entering sales and profit data per customer/product; by inputting new client company information in the database; by creating customer contact reports; and by documenting new project inquiries from new and current clients.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

    ·   While performing the duties of this job, the Staff Member is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The Staff Member is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to pick-up, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

    ·   The Staff Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    ·   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    ·   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. working in a business office with computers, printers, and telephones).

    ·   The Staff Member may be required to travel for business and work beyond normal business hours when necessary.

    Experience/Minimum Qualifications Needed

     

     LANGUAGE SKILLS

    ·   Ability to effectively respond to questions from Management, Staff, clients, and the general public in English.

    ·   Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups in English.

    ·   The ability to communicate in languages besides English, such as Japanese is ideal, but NOT REQUIRED.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    ·   Ability to apply concepts of basic math to return authorization documents, produce orders, and pricing applications to include discounts, percentages, and valuations.

    REASONING SKILLS

    ·   Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions.

    ·   Ability to analyze and use various documents (contracts, reports, purchase orders, etc.).

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    ·   ABILITY TO USE A COMPUTER AND SUCH APPLICATIONS AS MICROSOFT WINDOWS, GREAT PLAINS, EDI, WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, and PowerPoint and be able to design custom reports as necessary.

    OTHER SKILLS

    ·   Must be tactful, professional, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures.

     

    Educations

     

    ·   Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), or 2-3 year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
