    JOB DESCRIPTION

    We’re in the process of launching our mobile app and are looking for a super-star social media manager to help build our social communities and plan for future growth. The ideal candidate will be able to view tasks through both strategic and executional lenses with an eye on both long term goals and near term tasks. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an exciting new company and influence the future of the platform. This is a freelance engagement to start with a huge opportunity for growth. 

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Create content strategies across all social platforms to engage/grow our audiences.

    • Design engagement strategies to get influencers, content creators and partners to help populate and promote the Zoomie app

    • Develop, plan and execute processes for populating and measuring all company social media channels.

    • Source and create content for all channels and identify/manage potential collaborators.

    • Manage social listening and monitoring and make informed recommendations for engagement, growth and traffic.

    • Collaborate with Head of Partnerships and other leaders to ensure that social content is on brand and consistent across multiple platforms.

    • Strategize ways to use social channels to encourage adoption of the Zoomie app.

    • Handle all aspects of community management including interacting with our audience, responding to DMs, and liaising with the management team to resolve any issues.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Expert knowledge of existing and upcoming social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Youtube. 

    • At least 3 years proven experience managing, measuring, engaging with and growing online communities.

    • Knowledge of tools and processes across platforms for community management and social listening.  

    • Strong project management skills and ability to self-manage tasks both big and small. We are a start-up environment with constantly shifting priorities where everyone pitches in as needed.

    • Excellent writing skills including crafting and editing copy and and hashtags for all social posts.  

    • Passion for user generated content with endless curiosity about what makes certain content sticky, and ultimately viral

    • Insatiable appetite for data and insights to power future content strategies 

    • Knowledge of content creation process (video editing, photography, design) a plus

    • A passion for animals is a big plus!
