FINANCIAL SERVICES PROCESSOR

The FINANCIAL SERVICES PROCESSOR position is a FULL-TIME employment opportunity. The Financial Services Processor analyzes students’ financial aid documentation to ensure accuracy/completeness, awards the appropriate funding to students, ensures the funding is disbursed accurately and/or ensures the student’s funding was appropriate when they withdraw/graduate.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Key Tasks

• Review/Approve student documents based on standard operating procedures.
• Award funding to students based on standard operating procedures.
• Review disbursement eligibility.
• Calculate earned/unearned aid and request necessary refunds.
• All other duties as assigned.

Specialty Knowledge & Subject Area Expertise

• Maintain a working knowledge of Federal, State and Institutional Policies governing Non-Title IV student aid programs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of federal financial aid programs and regulations.
• Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• One (1) year of experience in an educational setting or finance background required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:      

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Financial Aid experience is a plus.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
